About this event
Are you noticing that a student has been missing a lot of classes? Do you have a student whose thinking seems incoherent? Did a student have an emotional outburst in your classroom? As a faculty member, it can be difficult to gauge when and how to address common signs of distress. Join us Monday, November 16, 3:00-4:15 pm for a lively panel discussion on Recognizing the Signs & Connecting Students to Campus Supports. Hear from student support professionals and get guidance on how to recognize warning signs, address conduct issues, and connect students with essential campus resources. Speakers include: John Blackshear, Vice President for Student Life Bridgid Cahill, Director, University Counseling Center Captain Jacqueline Shuman, Department of Public Safety Jen Prosceo, Director, Office of Disability Resources Alex Samors, Director of the CARE Network Join colleagues over refreshments and help build a culture of care at UR!
