Rochester Greenovation

Rochester Greenovation, a second-hand store, operates at 22 Flint Street in the Plymouth-Exchange PLEX neighborhood of Rochester, New York, under the management of a 100% volunteer-run organization. This organization aims to help people in Rochester reuse items and keep them out of the landfill.

The store sells furniture, clothes, tools, plates and glasses, pots and pans, children's items, and more, making it a treasure trove of finds, crafts, gear, costumes, antiques, building materials, and other items.

Partnerships with local non-profits enable the store to serve people in need, with donations made to these organizations. Local artists also collaborate with the store, selling their artwork and painting murals on the walls.

Previously, the store was located at 1199 East Main Street and 850 St. Paul Street, but the current location at 22 Flint Street is hoped to be its permanent home. The store is currently up to code, awaiting a Certificate of Occupancy from the City of Rochester, with some remaining work to be completed by the landlord.

As a valuable resource for the community, the store provides reasonably priced everyday items and promotes sustainability through reuse and recycling, relying on donations and volunteers to operate, and it is always looking for help and support from the community.
