About this event
Specials and Holidays sponsored by St. Ann’s Community 100 years after its premiere, experience Fritz Lang’s iconic silent film Metropolis (1927) in a way you’ve never seen—or heard—before. Composer Jeff Beal joins the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra and members of the Eastman Philharmonia to perform his electrifying score live, transforming Kodak Hall into a fully immersive cinematic world.
Pulsing rhythms, dramatic textures, and intricate orchestration bring the futuristic city and its unforgettable characters vividly to life. This one-night-only event fuses film, jazz, and symphonic storytelling, creating a feast for the ears and a visual spectacle. Witness a powerful collaboration between Rochester’s leading orchestras as they bridge century-old cinema with contemporary composition.
