Lectures & Talks
About this event
Lecture by José Carlos Díaz Zanelli, Assistant Professor, Department of Romance Languages & Literatures, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor This talk outlines a singular critical genealogy that shaped Indigenous decolonial thought in the Andes. By exploring the dialogues and tensions between the Marxist writer José Carlos Mariátegui and the Indianista philosopher Fausto Reinaga, this presentation sheds new light on one of the most radical intellectual connections explored in the book Insurgent Veins (2026).
